Congratulations 2023 Grant Winners

In 2023 the Hilliard Education Foundation awarded four grants with a total of over $25,000 awarded and impacting thousands of students in Hilliard schools.

Innovation Lab
Horizon Elementary
The goal of the Innovation Lab project is to develop immersive learning experiences focused on inspiring and engaging children through hands-on exploration. This STEAM project will enrich students by providing meaningful learning tasks in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to promote critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, communication, and innovation.

 

 

 

 

Regulation Room
Hoffman Trails Elementary
Will create a safe and comfortable space for students to use when they are experiencing heightened emotions that are interfering with their ability to learn. Emotional regulation is essential for student success as students are better able to focus and learn when they are regulated. This room will provide students with a quiet place where they can utilize tools and practice coping strategies so they feel more in control and are able to return to class ready for learning.

 

 

 

 

Every Student, Without Exception – Life Saving Ability CPR/First Aid Certification
HSCD High Schools
When it comes to life-or-death situations, communities benefit when there are more skilled hands assisting in life saving measures. This project will allow students in Hilliard City Schools to earn the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/First Aid Certification (CPR) as part of health class, which is a course requirement for graduation. Allowing every student to earn this certification creates impact by building a stronger and safer community, while also providing part of 12 total points of industry-recognized credentials in all career fields, which is a pathway to graduation for all students.

 

 

 

Engineering our Future
Darby Creek
This project will allow students to explore engineering basics in an ongoing and regular way. Through hands-on manipulation with an engineering wall, students will see futures in the engineering field. Students will explore building, gears, force and motion, and engineering basics. They can also ask questions and learn from the experts during an engineering lunch.
